براساس گزارش انجمن پزشکی بریتانیا کارکنان بهداشتی و مددجویان تمایل زیادی به استفاده از درمانهای تکمیلی دارند. این انجمن طی گزارشات خود به ارزش بالقوه این درمانها اشاره نمودو گنجاندن آن را در آموزشهای تئوری و بالینی پیشنهاد نموده است.
